Research Methodology, Not Independent Testing
We describe our approach as a research methodology rather than hands-on device testing. We have not conducted independent clinical trials or side-by-side lab testing of the devices covered on this site. Our device profiles and scores are built from publicly available manufacturer information, category-level research, and operational considerations commonly reported by practice owners, organized against our published weighted methodology.
We Do Not Fabricate Facts
We do not invent clinical studies, FDA clearances, specifications, prices, treatment outcomes, manufacturer claims, testimonials, awards, or review counts. Any factual field that has not been independently verified is stored as structured placeholder data and rendered on the site with a visible "Verification Pending" indicator rather than published as confirmed fact. We do not use the words "safe," "effective," or state a specific FDA clearance for a device unless that claim is supported by information we have verified directly.
How Rankings and Scores Are Determined
Every device is scored against the same ten weighted categories, described in full on our methodology page. Scores are entered deliberately by our editorial team and stored in a structured, editable dataset — they are never randomly generated or backfilled to match a predetermined outcome. Commercial and referral relationships with manufacturers, where they exist, do not change how a device is scored.
Disclosure Standard
Wherever a commercial relationship, referral relationship, sponsored placement, lead-generation arrangement, or affiliate relationship exists between Best Med Spa Devices and a manufacturer, we disclose it directly on the relevant device page and outbound link, and in full on our Disclosures page. Outbound manufacturer links may carry UTM parameters for referral tracking; we do not use deceptive redirects or techniques intended to conceal referral provenance.
Corrections
If a manufacturer, provider, or reader identifies an inaccuracy, we review and correct it as promptly as we can. Corrections to factual claims take priority over cosmetic edits. You can reach us through our Contact page.
Updates
Device profiles are living documents. Where a specification was previously marked "Verification Pending" and is later confirmed, we update the page and, where meaningful, note the date it was last verified.
